40 years of eyes in Kerry.

Roger Harty Opticians has looked after Tralee and the wider Kerry region since 1984. Three generations of families now walk through our doors on Boherbee — from first pairs of glasses at seven years old to comprehensive dry eye care at seventy.

Kerry Dry Eye Clinic is our answer to a problem we saw growing every year: patients who had tried every drop in the chemist and still couldn't get through a windy morning on Banna Strand without their eyes streaming. The Irish public system doesn't fund routine dry eye care, and the nearest specialist clinic before us was over 1.5 hours away in Cork.

Karyena O'Dowd, our dedicated Dry Eye Specialist, is thrilled to bring this much-needed service back to Kerry, practising within Roger Harty Opticians and adding to its 40 years of trusted expertise. In 2025 we opened Munster's first dedicated dry eye clinic, equipped with IRPL Tear-Stim technology and AI-assisted Meibomian gland imaging. Same team, same Boherbee address — new clinical depth.
